Kaohsiung Shou-Ling Elementary School Visits Watai Industrial

In 2024, Principal Su of Shou-Ling Elementary School in Mituo District, Kaohsiung, led a group of students to visit Watai Industrial

for an educational tour and exchange. The purpose of the visit was not only to broaden the students’ horizons beyond the classroom but

also to help them understand the important role their hometown plays in the global industrial supply chain.

On the day of the event, Hetai Industrial warmly welcomed the visiting group and arranged a comprehensive factory tour. Our experienced

staff guided the students through each stage of the screw manufacturing process – from raw material selection, forming, and machining to

heat treatment and surface finishing – allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of how these small yet essential components are made.

Screws are one of Taiwan’s most important export industries, and Kaohsiung is recognized worldwide as a major hub for screw production.

Through this visit, students not only learned about the applications of screws in machinery, construction, and everyday products, but also saw

firsthand the global competitiveness of Taiwan’s manufacturing.

The tour concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students eagerly raised questions ranging from technical processes and work experiences

to curiosity about future career opportunities. Hetai Industrial hopes that through such industry–school interactions, we can plant the seeds of pride

and appreciation for local industries in the hearts of the younger generation.
