Customer Case Study: Client A from Japan
One example of our customer-focused approach comes from a Japanese client, Client A, who inquired about screws for industrial purposes in class 10.9. Due to safety concerns, they initially requested screws made with SCM435 steel from China Steel Corporation. However, with cost efficiency in mind, Watai recommended an alternative—10B33 boron steel, which is more aligned with market pricing.
With heat treatment, 10B33 can also meet the strength standards of ISO 898-1. To ensure confidence, we provided a finished product inspection report confirming performance. This transparency helped us reach a mutual agreement and create a win-win outcome.

Our Inspection Process
To maintain high quality from the very beginning, every type of wire material is assigned a unique ID number upon arrival.
It then undergoes a comprehensive inspection, including:
- Material composition
- Surface condition
- Wire diameter
Only after passing inspection and being approved by our quality control team is the material tagged with a wire card, clearly identifying its type. This system ensures full traceability and smooth, efficient workflow throughout production.
